Once China is mentioned, what comes into someone’s mind might be its density of people. It is a general knowledge that China is overwhelmed by huge population all over the country. The place of living could be one of the problems that arises from such population. However, Gary Chang who is an architect from Hong Kong has an awesome idea to modify his own apartment. The modification made by Gary Chang would probably become one of the solutions regarding the problem of overly-populated area in China. That is what we can expect from a scholar that is supposed to utilize his skill and come up with such solution for his own country.
The modification that we are talking about right now is the transformation of an apartment that usually has two or three rooms into an apartment which has twenty four rooms. Whether you can believe it or not, it is true that Gary Chang has created twenty four rooms in 30 sq meters. Although it seems unpleasant to think of many rooms in a small place, the arrangement of the furniture makes the place spacious. As a result, I can say that it is completely a comfortable place to live in.
Not only has the number of rooms been modified, the interior design of each room in the apartment also has its own unique characteristics. To take an example, there is a room which both side walls are used as selves to keep books, DVD movies, and other stuffs. This room has a huge window so that people can take a look at scenery outside the apartment. In the middle of the room is a hanging bed. A person who has passion in reading and watching movie will find this place attractive, for it offers comfortable place to enjoy the leisure time. Another room is a closet in which the selves on the side wall keep the dresses hung and other stuffs arranged. The one that cannot be left is the kitchen. It has simple style. There are only a kitchen cabinet, a sink, and a table in the middle. Therefore, it does not seem crowded to cook in. To conclude, the work of Gary Chang is truly unbelievable.
